CASORB HS1

AQOZA CASORB HS1 is a premium quality coconut-based activated carbon in removing high concentration of Hydrogen sulphide up to 10,000ppm tested as per ASTM standards.

AQOZA CASORB HS1 does not convert H2S into sulphuric acid (H 2 SO4), which could cause corrosion problems in equipment. The active centres of metal oxide in CASORB HS1 convert H2S into sulphur. Subsequently this sulphur then migrates and is accumulated in the micropores of the active carbon. As a result, metallic oxides are again available to oxidize new H2S molecules. Moreover, as it is an activated carbon media, is very efficient in the removal of some volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which may be present in the gas stream to be treated.

AQOZA CASORB HS2 is a unique engineered media of AQOZA in removing low concentration of H2S and VOCs in wastewater treatment and other applications, where the media can be regenerated with fresh water at the site. The media is made of coconut-activated carbon with no impregnation. The water regeneration allows longer lifetime for the media.

AQOZA CASORB HS2 does not convert H2S into sulphur, thus its adsorption capacity remains after water regeneration. It converts H2S to light H2SO4 during the regeneration process, which can be drained to wastewater treatment stream as the concentration of H2SO4 is very light.
